A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without effort in case you have a website hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet stunningly intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you’ll notice a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different one with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.
