Weekly Backup
Discover how the weekly backups made available with the Virtual Private Servers operate and what data is backed up.
Different from a shared website hosting account in which the information is backed up by the provider, when you employ a virtual or a dedicated server you will need to keep manual backups as this type of a service is not provided by default. As fantastic as a web server may be, there is always a possibility that something might go wrong. For example, you could delete some content by accident or a script-driven program could get damaged after an update. In case you have a backup, you'll not need to bother about this type of issues because the content could be easily restored. As it may not be quite convenient to do this all the time on your end, we offer an optional backup service for each of our server plans and we shall store a copy of your content on an individual server to ensure that it's unharmed no matter what. With the upgrade, you can work on your server without having to worry that you may lose any data due to any reason.
Weekly Backup in Dedicated Hosting
When you use one of our Linux dedicated hosting, you could take advantage of the optional backup service with only 2 clicks. You can include it during the initial signup and have backups generated the moment your server is operational or you'll be able to add it afterwards through your CP in case you decide that you'll need it for the future. With this service, 50 Gigabytes of disk space on an independent hosting server will be reserved for you all of the time, so in case anything breaks down with a website or some other web application, we could immediately restore the info. You can get weekly backups not only as an independent service, but also as part of our Managed Services pack, which features many other tasks that our admins can perform for you such as installing third-party software and updating the OS of your dedicated web server. This would permit you to work on your web apps without worrying that something might go not as planned.
